Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 28 December 1914 (number 410069) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - wounded on 28 April 1916 - [left the CEF] - later served with Section "B" of the Corps of Military Staff Clerks - joined the Corps of Military Staff Clerks, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 11 July 1919.
