Joined the 59th Battalion, CEF, on 8 June 1915 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 22 June 1915 (number 410755) - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 25 December 1915 - joined the 148th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 24 June 1916 - taken on the strength of the 24th Battalion, CEF, on 29 November 1916.
