As a native of Dover, Kent, England, J H Doughty is likely remembered over there by the Dover War Memorial Project run by Marilyn (Maggie) Stephenson-Knight since 2006. Worth you checking, and if not there, be sure to tell them.
The project has followed up on the names on the town war memorial and worked to get others added as they turn up.
