Corporal William Strudwick

Born on 24 September 1890 in Guildford, Surrey, England - nephew of Mrs. Ethel Boras, Guildford, Surrey, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: trade as gardener; single; no current military service; previously served with the 2nd Battalion, Queen's Regiment (five years, ten months); Church of England; height of 5 feet 4.5 inches; chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded; fresh complexion; brown eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Bermuda on 3 January 1916 (number 410971) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 1 or 4 November 1916 - invalided to England on 18 November 1916 - later served with reserve units.
