Splicer, Cuaghnanaga, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as law student; single; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 4 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; black hair.
Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 27 March 1915 (number 411019) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, CEF, on 28 August 1915 - declared missing, presumed dead, on 4 June 1916 - name inscribed on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial (panel 10), Belgium.

There is a monolith witch is writen Angus Splicer died on february 1892 at age 62 in a cemetary in the front yard of the St-Stephens church on the 12th avenue in Lachine Qc. Then, by curiosity, I typed in google Angus Splicer and I found you're site. After reading about Angus Splicer, something made me wounder because right accross the river from Lachine is Caughanaga Reservation. Maybe there is a mistake with (died or born in 1892)on the monolith. Anyway, I though that Since Angus Splicer was not a common name, I decided to let you know about my founding. have a good day.
