Plummer, Vancouver, British Columbia - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as McGill student; single; no current military service; previously served with the Toronto High School cadets (two years) and the Calgary High School cadets (three years); Church of England; height of 5 feet 11 inches; chest of 37 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; green eyes; dark hair.
Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Vancouver, British Columbia, on 11 March 1915 (number 411051) - sailed for England in May 1915 - joined Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 17 June 1915 - wounded at Ypres, Belgium, on 2 June 1916 - commissioned as a Lieutenant in November 1916 - rejoined the PPCLI on 30 November 1916 - wounded at Vimy, France, on 9 April 1917 - seconded to the Royal Flying Corps from 20 September June 1917 to 9 July 1919 - repatriated to Canada and discharged in September 1919.
Awarded a Mention-in-Despatches.
Attended the University of British Columbia in 1921, graduating with a Bachelor of Science.
