Private John Lobb

Born on 13 January 1892 in South Marysburgh, Ontario - brother of Mrs. Augusta Clayey[?], Picton, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as labourer; married (separated from wife); no current or previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 6 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 80th Battalion, CEF, on 26 July 1915 (number 219483) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 5 or 6 October 1916 - wounded on 18 or 20 November 1916 - invalided to England on 21 November 1916 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 21 or 22 April 1917 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
