Private Joseph Lacomb

Born on 10 October 1897 in Vankleek Hill, Ontario - son of L. Lacomb, Vankleek Hill, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Vankleek Hill, Ontario; single; Roman Catholic; trade as farmer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 2 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; clear complexion; grey eyes; brown hair.

Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 5 April 1918 (number 3320923) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 October 1918 - wounded on 23 October 1918 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 24 October 1918 - invalided sick to England on 6 April 1919.
