Private Mark Gorman

Born on 17 March 1887 in County Galloway, Ireland - brother of John Gorman, Boston, Massachusetts - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as laborer, single, no current or previous military service, height of 5 feet 7.5 inches, weight of 158 pounds, chest of 42 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, blue eyes, medium hair.

Joined the 130th Battalion, CEF, in Renfrew, Ontario, on 15 December 1915 (number 788545) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 14 or 15 November 1916 - wounded on 10 or 12 April 1917 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 17 April 1917 - wounded on 26 June 1917 - transferred to the 2nd Divisional Employment Company, CEF, on 1 October 1917.
