Born on 31 March 1892 in Gananoque, Ontario (CWGC database lists him as Christopher Neville Ferris) - son of Charles Henry and Mary Jane Ferris, Brockville, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as mechanist helper, single, currently a member of the S.S. Corps [?], previously served in the 41st Regiment (three years), height of 5 feet 4.5 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, brown eyes, dark brown hair.
