Joined the 146th Battalion, CEF, on 26 January 1916 (number 835542) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 11 or 12 July 1917 - wounded on 30 March 1918 - invalided to England on 5 April 1918 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 11 October 1918 - invalided sick to England on 26 April 1919.
