Acting-Sergeant Robert Jordan Dick

Born on 11 July 1882 in Edinburgh, Scotland - son of Mrs. R.J. Dick, Pincher Creek, Alberta - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as contractor, single, no current military service, previously served five years and regimental quartermaster-sergeant with the 23rd Alberta Rangers and twelve years and sergeant with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Scots, Presbyterian, height of 5 feet 8.5 inches, chest of 38 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, grey eyes, brown hair.

Joined the 13th Canadian Mounted Rifles, CEF, in Pincher Creek, Alberta, on 1 February 1915 (number 552073) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 17 or 18 October 1917 - invalided sick to England on 9 December 1917.
