Joined the Depot Regiment, Canadian Mounted Rifles, on 21 October 1915 (number 225503) - taken on the strength of the 58th Canadian Infantry Battalion in France on 29 March 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion on 12 or 13 August 1918 - struck off the strength of the battalion on 16 June 1919.
