Joined the 205th Canadian Infantry Battalion on 7 October 1916 (number 240666) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion in France on 4 or 5 April 1918 - captured and made a prisoner of war on 11 August 1918 - repatriated on 18 December 1918.
