Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Prescott, Ontario, on 4 December 1915 (number 639234) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 January 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 5 May 1919.
