Joined the 80th Battalion, CEF, in Smiths Falls, Ontario, on 27 August 1915 (number 219218) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, in England on 11 July 1916 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion in England on 13 August 1916.
