Sergeant Edmund Neil McColl

Born on 20 July 1881 in Maxville, Ontario - husband of Fanny M. McColl, Ottawa, Ontario - son of the late Neil and Annie McColl, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as brakeman; married; no current military service; previously served with the Royal Army Medical Corps (twelve years as a Private); Plymouth Brethren; height of 5 feet 8.75 inches; chest of 39 inches fully expanded; fresh complexion; grey eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 10 February 1915 (number 410385) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - wounded on 4 June 1916 - died of those wounds on 15 June 1916 - buried in Etaples Military Cemetery (grave II.A.47), France.
