Lieutenant Edwin Thornton Leslie

Born on 13 May 1892 in Esquesing Township, Ontario - son of John Lyon Leslie and Mary A. Thornton, Milton West, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Georgetown, Ontario; trade as bank clerk; Presbyterian; currently a member of the 20th Halton Rifles; previously served as a bandsman [with 20th Halton Rifles?] (five years).

Joined the 164th Battalion, CEF, as a Lieutenant on 14 January 1916 - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 21 September 1916 - wounded on 18 November 1916 - died of those wounds on 30 November 1916 - buried in St. Sever Cemetery (grave Officers, B.3.37), France.
