Private Frederick William King

Born on 4 March 1884 in Ottawa, Ontario - son of Augusta Florence and the late Dr. W.F. King, CMG, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1917: present address same as mother; trade as draughtsman; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 4 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair.

Joined the 75th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 11 January 1917 (number 345904) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 11 or 12 July 1917 - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 28 November 1917 - killed in action on 26 August 1918 - buried in Vis-en-Artois British Cemetery (grave VI.A.14), France.
