Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Prescott, Ontario, on 22 September 1916 (number 640225) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 24 May 1917 - wounded on 16 April 1918 - invalided to England on 1 August 1918 - died of sickness in England on 1 August 1919 - buried in Orpington (All Saints) Churchyard Extension (grave G.17), England.
