Private Isidore Godin

Born on 15 May 1898 in Mizonette, New Brunswick - son of Luke and Lucy Lantaigne Godin - brother of Miss Leontine Godin, Mizonette, New Brunswick - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address same as sister, listed as a "defaulter", single, Roman Catholic, trade as fisherman, no current or previous military service, height of 5 feet 8 inches, chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, brown eyes, dark hair.


Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Barriefield, Ontario, on 24 May 1918 (number 4021676) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 October 1918 - killed in action on 4 November 1918 - buried in Onnaing Communal Cemetery (grave in south-west part), France.

I come across circumstances of death papers of Isidore Godin, they give us more details about his death.
I'm living in Valenciennes, Onnaing is very near .
