Joined the 230th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 22 March 1917 (number 2157508) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 7 or 8 February 1918 - wounded on 27 or 28 September 1918 - invalided to England on 1 October 1918.
