Private Reginald John Brockhurst

Born on 23 January 1898 in Henfield, Sussex, England - son of Thomas Brockhurst, Belleville, Ontario - enlistment records note the following: trade as clerk, single, currently serving with the 15th Regiment Argyll Light Infantry (one year), no previous military service, Baptist, height of 5 feet 8 inches, chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded, medium complexion, blue eyes, dark brown hair.

Joined the 155th Canadian Infantry Battalion in Belleville, Ontario, on 3 January 1916 (number 636194) - taken on the strength of the 38th Canadian Infantry Battalion in France on 24 May 1917 - wounded on duty on 24 March 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 3 May 1919.
