Armourer Corporal Edward James West

Born on 31 July 1897 in Northfleet, England - son of Edith West, Toronto, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: present address same as mother; trade as press hand; single; currently a member of the active militia (no details); previously served with the 9th Mississauga Horse (private, one month); Methodist; height of 5 feet 7.25 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; grey eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 95th Battalion, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 28 December 1915 (number 769238) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 26 or 27 June 1917 - invalided sick to England on 14 January 1919.
