Joined the 109th Battalion, CEF, in Lindsay, Ontario, on 25 November 1915 (number 724529) – taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 4 or 6 December 1916 – wounded on 9 April 1917 – invalided to England on 16 April 1917 – later served with reserve units.
