Joined the Divisional Signals Training Depot, Canadian Engineers, CEF, in Saint John, New Brunswick, on 12 June 1917 (number 2265700) - taken on the strength of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 10 May 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 5 or 6 June 1918 - wounded on 2 November 1918 - invalided to England on 7 November 1918.
