Private William Silcock

Born on 18 November 1875 in London, England - husband of Annie Silcock, Peterborough, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as painter; married; currently a member of the 57th Regiment; no previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 6.5 inches; chest of 41 inches fully expanded.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 31 July 1915 (number 410619) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 28 April 1919.
