Private John Joseph Sepo

Born on 17 October 1872 in Liverpool, England - nephew of Mrs. Elizabeth O'Connor, Liverpool, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as harnessmaker; single; currently a member of the Governor General's Foot Guards (three years); no previous military service; single; Roman Catholic; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 39 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; hazel eyes; iron grey hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 19 July 1915 (number 410910) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - struck off strength to the Canadian Labour Pool, CEF, on 8 June 1918.
