Private Rae George Ritchie

Born on 15 March 1894 in Vancouver, British Columbia - son of George Ritchie, Kelowna, British Columbia - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as student; single; currently a member of the McGill COTC; no previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 7.2 inches; chest of 36.2 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair.

Attended McGill College, British Columbia, from 1911 to 1913.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 4 March 1915 (number 410929) - departed for England in May 1915 - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, CEF, on 16 July 1915 - invalided to England in July 1916 - invalided to Canada in November 1917 - discharged from the CEF in July 1918.
