Corporal Alexander James Robertson

Born on 6 August 1875 in Cincinnati, Ohio - husband of Mary Robertson, Honolulu, Hawaii - brother of Mrs. Minnie Wylilie, Honolulu, Hawaii - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Toronto, Ontario; trade as soldier; married; no current military service; previously served with the Scots Guards (fourteen years); Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 9 inches; chest of 39 inches fully expanded; light complexion; gray eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 97th Battalion, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 11 May 1916 (number 208387) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 November 1917 - wounded on 21 April 1918 - invalided to England on 28 April 1918.
