Private William James Randle

Born on 26 June 1895 in England - nephew of James Gillard, Heavstree[?], Exeter, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as farmer; single; no current or previous military service; Wesleyan; height of 5 feet 4 inches; chest of 38 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; brown eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 18 March 1915 (number 410534) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - wounded on 12 June 1916 - wounded on 24 or 26 September 1916 - transferred to the Canadian Corps Headquarters Employment Company, CEF, on 28 June 1917 - rejoined the 2nd Battalion on 1 July 1918.

Died on 28 May 1975 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
