Private James Pearson

Born on 23 October 1898 in Liverpool, England - brother of Miss Sarah Pearson, c/o W.J. Franklin, Pendleton, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Ashton, Ontario; trade as farmer; single; no current or previous military service; Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 2.5 inches; chest of 33 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; brown eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 207th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 9 December 1916 (number 246777) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 11 or 12 April 1918 - killed in action on 1 September 1918 - buried in Wancourt British Cemetery (grave VIII.D.7), France.
