Private Cecil Pescod

Born on 4 January 1897 in Dickinson's Landing, Ontario - next of kin listed as Mrs. Mary Baker, Wales, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as student; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 3 inches; chest of 33.5 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; brown eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 59th Battalion, CEF, on 9 June 1915 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 June 1915 (number 410582) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - died on 21 November 1916 of wounds received that day - buried in St. Sever Cemetery Extension (grave O.II.D.9), France.
