Private Edward Harvey Patterson

Born on 15 September 1893 in Prescott, Ontario - brother of Pte. George Patterson, 38th Battalion, CEF - son of Mrs. Brittie Miller Patterson, Prescott, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Prescott, Ontario; trade as carpenter; single; no current military service; previously served with the 56th Regiment Lisgar Rifles (one year); Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 6 inches; chest of 38.5 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Prescott, Ontario, on 11 October 1916 - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 24 May 1917 - killed in action on 1 August 1917 - buried in Villers Station Cemetery (grave IX.E.11), France.
