Sergeant Robert Edward George Nugent

Born on 15 June 1896 in London, England - brother of Albert Nugent, Kinburn, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as farm-labourer; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 4 inches; chest of 33 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Smiths Falls, Ontario, on 14 January 1915 (number 410567) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
