Lieutenant Robert Ivan Moore

Born on 19 September 1892 in Township of Ops[?], Canada - son of James Moore, Reaboro, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: present address in Lindsay, Ontario; trade as student at law; Methodist; currently a member of the 45th Victoria Regiment; no previous military service.

Joined the 109th Battalion, CEF, in Lindsay, Ontario, as a Lieutenant on 22 November 1915 - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, in England as a Lieutenant on 7 August 1916 - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 18 November 1916 - invalided to England on 1 December 1916 - promoted to Acting-Captain while officer commanding a company with the 7th Reserve Battalion - relinquished rank of Acting-Captain on 15 September 1918 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 16 September 1918 - wounded on 28 October 1918 - invalided to England on 5 November 1918 - transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion.
