Joined the 154th Battalion, CEF, in South Mountain, Ontario, on 29 February 1916 (number 633606) - taken on the strength of the 4th Labour Battalion, CEF, on 17 February or 14 March 1917 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 11 or 12 April 1918 - killed in action on 10 August 1918 - name inscribed on the Vimy Memorial, France.
