Company Quartermaster-Sergeant Percy Herbert Medcalf

Born on 20 August 1884 in Heddlesboro, England - next of kin listed as Emily May Medcalf, Woodstock, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: trade as station stopman; married; no current or previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 5 inches; chest of 33 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; black hair.

Joined the 168th Battalion, CEF, in Woodstock, Ontario, on 8 January 1916 (number 675090) - taken on the strength of the 1st Divisional Employment Company, CEF, on 8 or 9 June 1917 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 29 or 30 September 1918 - transferred to Headquarters, 1st Division, CEF, on 11 October 1918.
