Private Walter McKay

Born on 28 January 1895 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - next of kin listed as William McKay, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as student single; no current military service; previously served with the University of Manitoba COTC; Church of England; height of 5 feet 5.4 inches; chest of 34.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; black hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 6 April 1915 (number 411110) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 17 July 1915 - seconded to the Royal Flying Corps from 30 September 1918 to 17 January 1919 - commissioned as a Lieutenant at some point.
