Private Peter Leo McGuire

Born on 8 April 1897 in Alumette Island, Quebec - son of Isabella McGuire, Alumette Island, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as farmer; single; no current or previous military service; Roman Catholic; height of 5 feet 7.5 inches; chest of 34 inches fully expanded; weight of 145 pounds; ruddy complexion; light hazel eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 130th Battalion, CEF, in Pembroke, Ontario, on 29 December 1915 (number 788832) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 14 or 15 November 1916 - invalided sick to England on 3 September 1917.
