Private Edwin William McLaren

Born on 13 May 1895 in Chapleau, Ontario - son of Mrs. A. McLaren, Chapleau, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Chapleau, Ontario; trade as clerk; single; no current or previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 6 inches; chest of 34.5 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 109th Battalion, CEF, in Lindsay, Ontario, on 21 April 1916 (number 724250) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 4 or 6 December 1916 - transferred to the Canadian Labour Pool, CEF, on 8 June 1918 - transferred to the 4th Divisional Employment Company, CEF, on 17 August 1918.
