Private Thomas Isaac McFadden

Born on 11 July 1899 in Bastard, Ontario - grandson of George Whalen, Plum Hollow, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Plum Hollow, Ontario; trade as farmer; single; no current military service; previously served with the 146th Battalion, CEF (five months); Methodist; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; light hair.

Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Delta, Ontario, on 20 September 1916 (number 640223) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 January 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 5 December 1918.
