Private George William Mason

Born on 28 September 1889 in Brighton, Sussex, England - son of Mrs. Mason, Montreal, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as butcher; single; no current military service; previously served with the 3rd Royal Sussex Regiment (three years, 321 days); Church of England; height of 5 feet 5.5 inches; chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 20 March 1915 (number 410985) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 16 July 1915 - wounded on 23 March or June 1916.
