Private William Maxwell Longe

Born on 5 September 1897 in Hamilton, Ontario - son of William Fameul Longe, Hamilton, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address same as father; trade as plasterer; single; no current military service; previously served with the 91st Regiment Canadian Highlanders (two years); Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 6 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; dark eyes; dark brown hair; "bad teeth".

Joined No.2 Overseas Army Service Corps Training Depot, CEF, in Hamilton, Ontario, on 28 October 1916 (number 513100) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 5 or 6 July 1917 - transferred to the Canadian Labour Pool, CEF, on 5 March 1918 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 29 or 30 April 1918 - wounded on 2 or 4 September 1918 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 14 November 1918 - struck off the strength of the 6 June 1919.
