Private Gabriel Leger

Born on 26 November 1897 in Ottawa, Ontario - son of Mrs. M. Leger, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address same as mother; single; Roman Catholic; trade as labourer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 3 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; swarthy complexion; brown eyes; black hair.

Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 27 February 1918 (number 4025075) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 9 or 10 August 1918 - wounded at duty on 4 November 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
