Sergeant Edward John Ladouceure

Born on 1 April 1898 in Pembroke, Ontario - son of Michael Ladouceure, Pembroke, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Pembroke, Ontario; trade as steamfitter; single; currently a member of the 42nd Regiment guard (five months); no previous military service; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded; weight of 153 pounds; dark complexion; brown eyes; black hair.

Joined the 240th Battalion, CEF, in Renfrew, Ontario, on 13 July 1916 (number 1042010) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 11 or 12 July 1917 - invalided sick to England on 15 August 1918.
