Private Ernest Labrie

Born on 2 May 1897 in Ottawa, Ontario - son of Louis Labrie, Hull, Quebec - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Hull, Quebec; single; Roman Catholic; trade as paper maker; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 6 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair.

Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 8 January 1918 (number 3320018) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 June 1918 - killed in action on 27 September 1918 - buried in Quarry Wood Cemetery (grave III.A.9), France.
