Johnson, Burlington, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Burlington, Ontario; trade as section man; married; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 5.5 inches; chest of 38 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; dark hair.

Joined the 164th Battalion, CEF, in Burlington, Ontario, on 6 March 1916 (number 663340) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 8 or 9 April 1918 - wounded on 2 September 1918 - invalided to England on 9 September 1918.
