Private Stanley Charles Hurst

Born on 1 September 1890 in Surrey, England - son of Mrs. Helena Hurst, Westcliff-on-Sea, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as clerk, single, no current or previous military service, Church of England, height of 5 feet 4 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, grey eyes, dark hair.

Joined the 59th Battalion, CEF, in Smiths Falls, Ontario, on 13 February 1915 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 22 June 1915 (number 410315) - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - transferred to the 12th Canadian Light Trench Mortar Battery, CEF, on 1 or 2 October 1917 - wounded on 29 September 1918.
