Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Brockville, Ontario, on 18 February 1916 (number 639646) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 January 1918 - wounded on 23 October 1918 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 24 October 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
